What Does Micah 5:13 Mean?
The cleansing reaches the idols themselves. God will cut off the graven images and the standing pillars, and His people will no longer bow to the work of their own hands. The folly of worshiping what one has manufactured will be ended.
To worship the work of our own hands is to bow to something smaller than ourselves. God removes the idols so that worship can be restored to Him alone, the only fitting object of it.
