What Does Nehemiah 9:25 Mean?
The prayer paints the abundance Israel received: fortified cities, fertile land, houses stocked with goods, ready-dug wells, vineyards and olive groves and fruit trees. They ate and were satisfied and 'delighted themselves' in God's great goodness.
God's generosity overflows. He gave not bare survival but plenty, a land already prepared and brimming with blessing. The repeated word 'goodness' marks the lavishness of His gift.
