What Does Revelation 19:1 Mean?
The scene shifts from the fall of the great city in the previous chapter to the courts of heaven, where John hears the roar of an immense multitude. Their cry opens with Alleluia, a word of pure worship, and ascribes salvation and every honor to the Lord their God. This is the first of four Alleluias that crown the chapter.
Heaven does not respond to judgment with silence but with song. When God sets the world right, the redeemed recognize that deliverance, splendor, and might belong to Him and to no one else.
