What Does Romans 16:24 Mean?
Paul returns to the note on which he loves to end: grace. Having sent and received so many greetings, he pronounces again the blessing of 'the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ' upon them all, sealing it with 'Amen,' a word meaning so let it be.
Grace is the first and last word of the gospel, the unearned favor of God given freely in Christ. Everything Paul has written, all the teaching and all the names, rests on this. He wishes for his readers what they most need and can never deserve: the abiding grace of the Lord Jesus, enough for every one of them, holding them to the end.
