The Annunciation (Uffizi, 1481)

The angel comes to Mary to announce the child who, in the fullness of time, is born of a woman so that we might receive adoption as sons (Galatians 4). A tempera on panel by the Italian painter Botticelli (1481), now in the Uffizi.
