What Does 1 Timothy 2:7 Mean?
Because the ransom is for all, Paul was appointed to carry the news to the nations. He insists, with a solemn aside, that he speaks the truth in this.
Paul's calling to teach those outside Israel flows directly from God's desire that all be saved. The universal scope of the gospel demanded messengers sent far and wide; Paul gladly became one, devoted to faith and truth.
