What Does 1 Timothy 3:15 Mean?
Should his coming be delayed, Paul wants Timothy to know how to conduct himself in God's household. He calls the church the house of the living God.
The church is named the pillar and ground of the truth, the place where God's truth is held up and made known to the world. To live and serve there is a high calling. Conduct within it should match the dignity of the One whose house it is.
