Pleasant Valley Baptist Church

About this church

Pleasant Valley Baptist Church in Chico holds Sunday services at 8:45 and 11 a.m. and 6 p.m., plus a Wednesday gathering at 6:30. Adult Connection Groups ordinarily meet Sunday at 10, between the two morning services, with options organized by marriage, age, and life stage. The church offers first-time visitors a gift and a planning form that can request information, note that children are coming, or ask about transportation. Worship and teaching are traditional Baptist in conviction, with passionate Bible preaching and the King James Version used as the church's English translation.

Children's ministry for kindergarten through fifth grade focuses on hearing, knowing, and doing God's Word, connecting salvation, spiritual growth, and biblical worldview with daily life. Thrive Youth helps teenagers navigate culture with biblical courage, relationships, memories, and an emphasis on personally knowing Christ. Adult groups create a smaller setting for Scripture and connection within the larger Sunday schedule; individual rooms and leaders are listed by group. A newcomer interested only in worship can select any of the three Sunday services. Someone wanting both a morning service and a Connection Group can combine 8:45 with the 10 a.m. class or remain after class for 11. Families and transportation seekers can use the visitor form before arriving rather than solving those needs at the door.
