First Presbyterian Church of Arlington Heights

About this church

First Presbyterian Church of Arlington Heights publishes two Sunday worship options: a 9 a.m. outdoor service in the courtyard and traditional sanctuary worship at 10:30. Its visitor guide describes Scripture-grounded messages, music led by staff and volunteer singers and instrumentalists, and a broad range of dress. Children may stay in worship or use nursery care for those under five. Because outdoor worship is weather-sensitive and program schedules can be seasonal, guests should check the current homepage before choosing an hour.

Faith formation at First Pres extends through preschool, elementary, middle-school, confirmation, and high-school stages. Children in preschool through fifth grade learn about Jesus, Christian faith, and sharing God's love through actions as well as words. Youth Sunday School meets from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. September through May, with separate pathways for grades six and seven, eighth-grade Confirmation, and grades nine through twelve. Outreach ranges from service within the congregation to local partnerships and national and international mission. The church's local mission pages include shelter-related service and summer opportunities, while global partnerships reach beyond the United States. First-time families can use greeters for directions and should confirm the latest children's schedule before arrival.
