First Lutheran Church

About this church

First Lutheran Church in Decorah currently lists summer worship Saturday at 5:00 p.m. and Sunday at 9:00 a.m. The congregation describes itself as a multigenerational spiritual community rooted in grace, inclusive worship, faithful witness, spiritual growth, generous giving, and compassionate service. Visitors should treat the published hours as seasonal and use the current worship page when planning outside summer.

Families can explore Sunday School, youth choir, cross-generational events, and other children’s and youth opportunities. Members describe appreciating the variety of worship times and activities, while the church’s mission extends to ministries that serve neighbors and pursue justice locally and around the world. A first-time household can choose Saturday evening or Sunday morning during the summer schedule, review the visitor page for education-event expectations, and check the active calendar for children’s programming. Anyone arriving in another season should confirm whether regular hours replace the summer pattern rather than relying on an archived announcement. The Broadway Street church welcomes guests for both worship and service.
