About this church

Hartzell Mt. Zion United Methodist Church begins Sunday School at 8:30 a.m., coffee fellowship at 9:30, and worship from 10:00 to 11:30 at 41040 Highway 190 East in Slidell. Worship is also carried live on Facebook, with service recordings available on YouTube. Communion is celebrated on the first Sunday. A Thursday prayer meeting begins at 5:30 p.m. online, and the church publishes access details for its remote studies and prayer gatherings.

Known as the loving Indian Village Family Church, Hartzell Mt. Zion describes itself as a community of disciples committed to loving, witnessing, teaching, serving, and making new disciples. Children and youth lead worship with their own choir on fourth Sundays, while United Methodist Men and United Women in Faith combine fellowship with outreach. The church offers rides to Sunday School and worship when arranged through the office, a particularly useful detail for visitors with transportation needs. Its Sunday sequence encourages a full morning of formation, conversation, and worship rather than three disconnected events. People can also preview the congregation through recorded services or join remotely before deciding whether to attend in person.
