What Does Esther 2:18 Mean?
To honor his new queen, the king throws Esther's feast for all his princes and servants, grants the provinces a release, perhaps from taxes or service, and distributes royal gifts. The whole empire is made to share in his joy. The girl raised in obscurity is now the occasion of empire-wide celebration.
