What Does Hebrews 10:7 Mean?
The quotation reaches its center. In place of sacrifices God did not finally desire, the Son offers a person: 'Lo, I come to do thy will.' The words note that this very coming was written of beforehand in the book.
Here is the offering God always sought: a life fully surrendered to His will. The whole of Scripture had pointed toward this obedience, and now it speaks in the voice of the One who fulfills it.
