What Does Hebrews 2:10 Mean?
The writer states that this path of suffering was fitting -- it "became" God, the one for whom and by whom all things exist. His purpose is vast: "bringing many sons unto glory." Christ is named the "captain" of their salvation, the leader who goes ahead and opens the way.
To be "made perfect through sufferings" does not mean Christ was once flawed, but that He was brought to the full completion of His saving role by walking the road of suffering Himself.
