Hosea 1:10

What Does Hosea 1:10 Mean?
With one word, Yet, the chapter turns from sorrow to hope. God recalls His ancient promise to make His people as numberless as the sand of the sea. The very place that heard the verdict not my people will one day ring with a new name: sons of the living God. Judgment is not the final word.
This radiant promise reaches far beyond its first hearers. The New Testament takes up these very words to describe how God gathers a people to Himself and calls them His own children. In Christ, those once estranged are brought near and named as sons and daughters. The God who can reverse not my people into sons of the living God is mighty to redeem what looked lost forever.
