Isaiah presses further, and Hezekiah admits he has shown the visitors his complete treasury and arsenal.

Context

Isaiah's second question moves from the abstract to the concrete: what exactly have you revealed? Hezekiah's answer is undefended. He makes no excuse, no claim of having shown them only part of his resources. He confirms that nothing was held back. The completeness of his disclosure stands now as a statement of fact, about to become the pivot point of judgment.

Application

Before God can show us the consequences of our choices, we must first be honest about what we have done. Confession prepares the ground for both judgment and grace. When we hide nothing from the truth, we position ourselves to receive God's full word to us, whatever it may be.
