What Does Job 22:21 Mean?
Eliphaz now shifts from accusation to appeal. He urges Job to acquaint himself with God and be at peace, promising that good will follow. Though his diagnosis of Job was wrong, the invitation he offers is beautiful and true.
To know God and be at peace with Him is the deepest good a soul can find. Reconciliation with our Maker is the fountain from which every lasting blessing flows. This longing finds its answer in Christ, who is our peace and through whom we are brought near. The call to be acquainted with God is no mere truce but an invitation into friendship with the One who made us and loves us. Drawing near to Him, we find that good does indeed come.
