What Does Job 41:25 Mean?
When the creature lifts itself, even the strongest are seized with fear, undone by the crashing of its movement. The mightiest of men are reduced to panic at its rising.
Here the limits of human power are exposed at their highest point: the mighty themselves tremble. The verse quietly insists that no human strength is the final word, and turns the heart toward the One before whom even the mighty bow. If a creature's rising scatters the strong, the rising of the Lord in His day shall be greater still, and blessed are those who have made Him their refuge.
