Today's Story
The big family list keeps going! This part names the twelve sons of Israel. Maybe you know some of them, like Judah, Joseph, and Benjamin.
Then the list slows down and follows just one of those sons — Judah — and all the children who came after him. Name after name, parents and children, year after year.
It might look like just a plain list. But something special was happening inside it. God was quietly building a family. Step by step, name by name, He was leading the way to a boy who would one day be King David — and far, far later, to Jesus Himself.
Nobody back then could see the whole plan. But God could. He was working in every family, in every name, even when it just looked like an ordinary list.
God always keeps the promises He makes, even over a very long time.
