1 Corinthians is a letter. A man named Paul wrote it to help a whole church family love God and love each other.
In this part of the letter, Paul talks about a very special meal that helps God's family remember Jesus.
Today's Story
Paul loved the church family in a city called Corinth. They were like brothers and sisters. But Paul heard some sad news. When God's family came together to eat, some people were not being kind.
The people who had lots of food gobbled it all up first. The people who came late, or who did not have much, were left hungry. Some even pushed to the front. That made Paul sad. He said, “When you come together, you should care for each other.”
Then Paul reminded them about a very special meal. On the night before Jesus died for us, He shared bread and a cup with His friends. He picked up the bread and said, “This is for you. Eat it and remember Me.” He picked up the cup and said the same thing. “Do this to remember Me.”
So when God's family eats this special meal, they stop and remember how much Jesus loves them. Paul said it is too important to rush. Wait for each other. Share. Be gentle. Think about Jesus.
