1 Kings 4 for Kids

For Kids · 3 min with a grown-up

Now that Solomon is the wisest king in the world, watch what happens to his whole country.

Today's Story

God had given Solomon wisdom - and not just a little. The Bible says God gave Solomon wisdom and very great understanding, as much as the sand on the seashore. That's a LOT of wisdom!

And do you know what a wise, godly king brought to the land? Peace. While Solomon ruled, the people lived safely and happily. Everyone could sit under their own grapevine and fig tree, with plenty to eat and nothing to fear.

Solomon was so wise that he knew about trees and animals and birds and fish. He made up three thousand wise sayings! People traveled from faraway countries - even kings - just to sit and listen to him and learn.

One person's gift from God became a blessing for a whole nation. When Solomon used his wisdom well, everyone around him was better off for it.
