Solomon is ready for the biggest building project of his life: a beautiful house where everyone can worship God.
Today's Story
Solomon had a dream in his heart: to build a temple - a beautiful house for worshiping God. His father David had wanted to do it, and now it was Solomon's turn.
But a project this big needed help. So Solomon sent a friendly letter to King Hiram, who ruled a land full of tall, strong cedar trees. “Let's work together,” Solomon wrote. “Your workers know how to cut the best wood. I'll send workers to help, and we'll build something wonderful.”
King Hiram was glad. “Yes!” he said. So the two kingdoms teamed up. Workers chopped giant cedar logs in the mountains and floated them down the sea on big rafts. Stone-cutters shaped huge blocks. Everyone did their part.
Building something great for God took planning, hard work, and lots of people working together. And Solomon was getting everything ready, piece by piece.
