After the big celebration, God comes to Solomon with a quiet, wonderful answer to his prayer.
Today's Story
Remember Solomon's prayer at the temple - the one where he asked God to always listen? Well, God came to Solomon again, and He answered.
“I have heard your prayer,” God said. “I have made this temple holy. My eyes and My heart will always be there.”
Isn't that a beautiful thing to say? God promised that His loving attention would always be on that special place. He had heard every word Solomon prayed, and He cared.
Then God gave Solomon some loving advice, the same advice David had given: “Keep following Me with all your heart, the way your father David did. Walk in My ways, and all will go well.”
God doesn't just hear our prayers and forget them. He keeps His eyes and His heart on us - always watching over us with love.
