The temple is finished at last! It's time for the grand opening — and God Himself is about to show up in a way no one will ever forget.
Today's Story
The temple was finished! Every wall, every golden lamp, every beautiful thing was finally in place. Now it was time for the biggest celebration the people had ever seen.
The priests carried in the most special thing of all — the ark, the golden chest that reminded everyone that God was with them. Gently, carefully, they set it in the Most Holy Place, right under the wings of the great golden angels.
Then the music began. Singers lifted their voices. Players blew their trumpets and crashed their cymbals. All together, like one big voice, they sang:
“He is good! His faithful love lasts forever!”
And right then, something wonderful happened. A cloud filled the whole temple — a thick, shining cloud. It was the glory of God! It was so amazing that the priests could not even keep doing their jobs. God Himself had come to fill His house.
The people praised God together — and God came close.
