Have you ever shown up at exactly the right moment? A kind woman does - and it's no accident. God is taking care of her timing.
Today's Story
Do you remember the kind woman from the town of Shunem? She had once made a little room so God's helper Elisha would have a place to stay. God had blessed her with a son.
One day Elisha told her, “Hard times are coming, and food will be hard to find. Take your family and live somewhere else for a while.” So she packed up and moved far away. She was gone for seven whole years.
When at last she came home, she found that her house and her land now belonged to someone else! What could she do? She went straight to the king to ask for her home back.
And here is the wonderful part. At the very moment she walked in, the king was listening to a story - the story of all the amazing things Elisha had done, including helping her family long ago. Right as the storyteller said, “And here is the very woman!” in she walked!
The king was amazed. “Give her everything back,” he said, “every bit of her land, and all that it grew while she was away.” She had arrived at the perfect moment - and God was watching over every minute of it.
