When Paul feels tired and discouraged, God gives him exactly the encouragement he needs.
Today's Story
Paul came to a big city called Corinth. He met a kind couple, Priscilla and Aquila, who made tents just like Paul did. They became good friends and worked together, and Paul stayed with them, telling everyone about Jesus.
But the work was hard. Some people argued with Paul and were unkind. Paul may have felt tired and discouraged, wondering if he should keep going.
Then one night, God spoke to Paul in a vision. “Don't be afraid,” God said. “Keep on speaking. Don't be silent. I am with you, and no one is going to harm you. I have many people in this city.” What an encouragement! God promised to be with Paul and told him to keep going.
So Paul stayed in Corinth a long time — a year and a half! — teaching God's word. Because Paul didn't give up, many, many people came to know Jesus. God's encouragement gave him the strength to keep going.

Talk About It
- Paul felt tired, but God encouraged him to keep going. When do you sometimes feel like giving up?
- God promised, “I am with you.” How does knowing God is with you help you keep going?
- Because Paul didn't give up, many people met Jesus. Why is it worth it to keep doing what's right, even when it's hard?
