When Paul is in danger, God Himself stands beside him with a word of courage — and protects him in a surprising way.
Today's Story
Paul was in trouble in Jerusalem. The soldiers had to take him into their fort to keep him safe from an angry crowd. That night, Paul might have felt very alone and afraid.
But then the Lord Jesus Himself stood near Paul! “Be brave!” Jesus said. “You have told people about Me here in Jerusalem. Now you must also tell about Me in Rome.” What a comfort! Jesus promised Paul that his story wasn't over — God had a plan to take him all the way to Rome.
The very next day, God protected Paul in a surprising way. Paul's young nephew overheard some men making a secret plan to harm Paul. The brave boy hurried to warn the soldiers! So the commander secretly sent Paul away at night, with a big group of soldiers to guard him, safely out of danger.
God was watching over Paul the whole time. He encouraged him with brave words and protected him through a listening boy. Even in scary times, Paul was never alone — and neither are we.
