Moses tells God's people about three special times every year when they get to stop, remember God, and throw a party!
Today's Story
God loves His people, and He loves it when they are happy. So Moses told them about three big celebrations they would have every year.
The first party helped them remember the night God rescued them from Egypt, when they were finally set free. The second party said thank You to God for all the good food that grew on their farms. And the third party was a great big harvest celebration, with everyone bringing in the very best from their fields.
At every party, Moses said the same thing: “Be full of joy! Celebrate together — your whole family, your helpers, and the people who don't have much. Bring everyone in. Nobody celebrates alone.”
Moses also reminded them to choose fair, honest judges — people who would always do what was right and treat everyone the same.
But the big, happy heart of the day was this: stop and remember how good God has been, and let your heart be glad. God gives us so much. The best thing to do is celebrate Him!
