Ezekiel 10 for Kids

For Kids · 4 min with a grown-up

The amazing vision from the very start of the book comes back — the bright glory of God, the sparkling wheels, and a reminder that God can go anywhere.

Today's Story

Ezekiel looked up again, and there it was — the dazzling vision from the very beginning of the book. The bright, shining glory of God.

He saw the wheels again, sparkling like jewels, gleaming and bright. The wheels were covered all over with eyes, and they could spin and roll in any direction at all — never wobbling, never falling. They moved fast as lightning, wherever God wanted them to go.

He saw bright, shining creatures with wings, and when their wings moved, the sound was like a mighty rushing wind, or like the voice of God Himself. Above it all glowed the brightness of God, like a sky full of light, like fire and sunshine and rainbows all together.

Then something happened. The shining glory of God lifted up and began to move. It rose up off the temple and started on its way.

This is the wonderful part: God is not stuck inside one building. His glory can go anywhere. Even when His people had to leave their home and live far away, God's shining presence could be right there with them. There is nowhere in the whole world that God cannot go. He is never, ever far from the people He loves.
