Ezekiel 2 for Kids

For Kids · 3 min with a grown-up

After Ezekiel saw the bright glory of God, God had a special job just for him.

Today's Story

Ezekiel was still lying on the ground, face down, after seeing God's amazing glory. Then a voice said, “Stand up. I want to talk with you.”

God's Spirit lifted Ezekiel right onto his feet. And God said, “I am sending you. I have a message for My people. I want you to carry it to them.”

God knew it would not always be easy. Some of the people had stopped listening to Him. But God said, “Do not be afraid of them. Do not be scared, even a little. Just tell them what I say.”

Then something surprising happened. A hand reached out toward Ezekiel, holding a scroll — a long roll of paper. It was unrolled, and it had writing on the front AND the back, every bit of it covered with God's words.

God was getting Ezekiel ready. He was choosing him, helping him stand, and promising to be right there with him.

Ezekiel did not have to be brave all by himself. God would go with him.
