God gave Ezekiel a wonderful vision — a tour of a brand-new temple, the special house where people would meet with God.
Today's Story
One day God took hold of Ezekiel in a vision and set him down on a very high mountain. Ezekiel looked, and his eyes went wide.
There in front of him was a beautiful building — a brand-new temple. A temple is the special house where God's people come to be close to Him.
A man was standing by the gate. He shone like polished bronze, bright and gleaming. In his hand he held a measuring rod, like a long ruler.
“Watch closely,” the shining man told Ezekiel. “Listen with all your heart. Then tell God's people everything you see.”
So the man began the tour. He measured the wide gate. He measured the steps. He measured the doorways and the rooms and the walls. Every part was just right — careful and beautiful and strong.
Ezekiel followed along, amazed. God was showing him that one day His people would have a wonderful house to meet with Him again. And God cared about every single part of it.

Talk About It
- Where is a place you go to feel close to God — maybe a church, your bedroom, or a quiet spot outside?
- The shining man measured every part of the temple so carefully. What does it tell you that God cares about even the small details?
- God told Ezekiel to look closely and listen with all his heart. What is one way you can pay attention to God today?
