The tour of the beautiful temple comes to an end. The shining man shows Ezekiel some special rooms, and then he measures a wall all the way around.
Today's Story
The shining man led Ezekiel out to look at some rooms beside the temple.
These rooms were special. This was where the helpers who served God would keep things that were set apart — saved and kept clean for God alone, the way you might keep your very best gift in its own special box. The rooms had doors and walkways, and the man measured each one, careful as always.
Then the shining man finished the tour. He walked all the way around the outside of the temple with his measuring rod. He measured one side, then turned and measured the next, and the next, and the last — the whole way around.
There was a wall around the entire temple. The wall was like a special line. It showed where God's house began. Inside that line was a wonderful place, kept just for being close to God.
Ezekiel had seen the whole thing now, from the front gate to the wall around the back. And it was all a promise: God wanted to make a special place to be with His people again. Every part of it whispered, “God is here.”
