Hebrews 3 for Kids

For Kids · 4 min with a grown-up

Hebrews is a letter to God's family to help them love God and keep trusting Him.

In this part, the letter says Jesus is greater than even the most famous helpers, and it tells us how to keep soft, happy hearts.

Today's Story

God's family had a great leader long ago named Moses. He was a brave helper who led the people out of a hard place. Everybody loved Moses.

The letter says Moses was wonderful — but Jesus is even greater. Here is a picture for it. Moses was like a faithful worker who took care of a house. But Jesus is the one who built the house. The builder is always greater than the helper inside!

Then the letter tells a true story to help us. A long time ago, some of God's people stopped trusting Him. They grumbled and let their hearts get hard, like a sponge that dries out and turns crunchy. So they missed out on a good gift God wanted to give them.

The letter says: don't let that happen to you. Keep your heart soft and trusting.

And it gives us a wonderful tip: “Encourage one another every day.” That means cheer each other on! When we say kind, brave words to each other, our hearts stay soft and happy.

Trust Jesus, the great builder, and help your friends keep trusting too.
