Hebrews is a letter to God's family to help them love God and lean on Him.
In this part, the letter gives two gifts: a special rest, and the wonderful news that we can come close to Jesus anytime.
Today's Story
Have you ever felt tired and worried, like you were carrying a heavy backpack inside your heart? The letter has good news for you.
God promises a special rest for His people. It is not just a nap. It is the deep-down rest of knowing you are safe with God, and you don't have to earn His love. You can stop worrying and rest, like climbing into a warm bed at the end of a long day.
Then the letter says something amazing about Jesus. Remember, Jesus became a person, so He knows exactly how you feel. He has felt tired. He has felt sad. He even felt like doing wrong things, but He never did. So Jesus understands everything about you.
And here is the best part. The letter says we can come close to Jesus anytime we want, and ask Him for help. We don't have to be scared or wait in line. We can run right up to Him!
“Let us boldly approach,” it says, and find help right when we need it. Jesus is always glad to see you.
