Isaiah 25 for Kids

For Kids · 4 min with a grown-up

After hard messages, Isaiah breaks into a happy song of thank-you to God - full of some of the most comforting promises in the whole Bible.

Today's Story

Isaiah was so happy that he started to sing! “Lord, You are my God! I will praise You and thank You, because You have done wonderful things!”

Isaiah sang about how good God is to people who feel small or weak or scared. “You have been a safe place for those who have no place,” he sang. God is like a cozy shelter when a storm is blowing, and like cool shade on a hot, sunny day. When we run to Him, we are safe.

Then Isaiah sang about a big, happy day that is coming. God is going to make a giant feast on His mountain - the best food, the best treats, a party for everyone who loves Him. Imagine the yummiest meal you can think of, and it will be even better than that!

And here is the most wonderful promise of all. One day God will end sadness and crying forever. Isaiah sang, “The Lord will wipe away the tears from every face.” No more boo-boos. No more goodbyes. No more being afraid. God Himself will gently wipe every tear away.

On that day God's people will smile and say, “This is our God! We waited for Him, and look - He came to save us! Let's be glad!”
