This chapter is a happy song about trusting God - and it holds one of the most peaceful promises in the whole Bible.
Today's Story
God's people sang a joyful song about a strong, safe city. But this city was special. Its walls weren't made out of stone or brick. Its walls were God Himself keeping His people safe! No enemy could ever knock down walls like that.
Then the song gave a beautiful promise. When you keep your thoughts on God - when you remember He is near and you trust Him - He gives you perfect peace. That means a calm, quiet, settled feeling deep inside, even when things around you feel wobbly. The song says it like this: “You give perfect peace to those who keep their minds on You, because they trust in You.”
So the song says, “Trust in the Lord forever! He is like a rock that never, ever moves.” You can lean your whole self on God, and He will hold you up.
The song even looks ahead to a wonderful day. God promises that one day He will bring His people back to life again - “Wake up and sing!” Every sad goodbye will turn into a happy hello. Because God is strong enough to do even that.

Talk About It
- When do you feel worried or wobbly inside? What is one thing about God you could think about to help you feel calm?
- The song says God is like a rock that never moves. Why is it a good thing that God never changes?
- God gives perfect peace to people who keep their minds on Him. What is one way you can remember God during a busy or hard day?
