Isaiah 4 for Kids

For Kids · 3 min with a grown-up

After some hard words, Isaiah shares a gentle, happy promise: God will make His people clean and keep them safe under His care.

Today's Story

Isaiah had a beautiful promise to share about a day that is coming.

God said He would wash His people clean. All the dirty, wrong things would be gone, like washing mud off until everything sparkles. His people would be fresh and new again.

And then God promised something even more wonderful: He would take care of them Himself.

Long ago, when God's people traveled through the desert, He went with them as a tall cloud during the day and a glowing fire at night, so they were never alone and never lost. Isaiah said God would do that kind of thing again. He would spread His care over His people like a cozy tent.

When the sun got too hot, God would be their shade. When a storm came with rain and wind, God would be their shelter, keeping them dry and safe inside.

God was promising to be like a big, strong umbrella over the people He loves - always there, always protecting, in the bright day and the dark night.
