God talks about a special Helper who listens to Him every single morning and keeps trusting Him, even when things get hard.
Today's Story
God told about a very special Helper - someone who would always do exactly what God asked. This Helper had a beautiful habit.
“Every morning,” the Helper said, “God wakes me up. He opens my ears to listen. He teaches me the right words to say, so I can give a kind, comforting word to someone who is tired or sad.”
Morning by morning, the Helper listened to God. And He never plugged His ears or ran away. He said, “I will obey.”
But not everyone was kind to the Helper. Some people made fun of Him and were rough with Him. That would be very hard! Yet the Helper did not give up, and He was not ashamed. Do you know why?
Because He knew a secret. “The Lord God helps me,” He said. “So I will not give up. I will be brave. I have set my face like a stone - strong and steady - because I know God is right beside me, and He will help me.”
This Helper is a picture of Jesus, who kept trusting His Father even when things were hard. And we can be brave the very same way: by listening to God each morning and knowing He is always close.

Talk About It
- When is a time you have to be brave - trying something new, doing a hard chore, or being kind when someone was not kind to you?
- The Helper listened to God every single morning. What is one good thing you could do first thing in the morning to start your day with God?
- The Helper used kind words to comfort tired and sad people. Who do you know that might need a kind, comforting word today?
