Sometimes people feel like they don't fit in or aren't wanted. In this chapter, God throws the doors wide open and says: there's room for everyone with Me.
Today's Story
Have you ever felt like the new kid - like maybe you didn't belong, and everyone else already had their place?
Some of God's people felt exactly like that. There were folks from faraway lands who loved God but worried, “Maybe God only wants His own special people. Maybe there's no room for someone like me.” And there were lonely people who felt left out and forgotten.
But God had the kindest message for them. “Don't say that!” He told them. “If you love Me and want to follow Me, you belong with Me too. I will bring you to My holy mountain. I will fill you with joy in My house.”
Then God said something wonderful about His house - the special place where people came to pray and be near Him. “My house,” God said, “will be called a house of prayer for ALL nations.”
Not just for some people. Not just for one kind of person. For everyone, from everywhere, who comes to God. The doors are wide, wide open.
God was telling the whole world: there's a place for you with Me. You are wanted. Come on in.
A Big Word
Memory Verse
Talk About It
- Have you ever felt left out, like you didn't belong? God says you have a place with Him. How does that feel to know?
- God's door is open to people from every land. Who is someone at school or in your neighborhood that you could help feel welcome?
- God's house is a place to pray - to talk with Him. What is something you'd like to tell God about today?
