Sometimes God can feel far away. Isaiah explains why - and then shares the most wonderful news about how God fixes it.
Today's Story
God's people were feeling far away from Him. Maybe God's arm was too short to reach them? Maybe His ears couldn't hear?
“No,” said Isaiah. “God's arm is plenty strong to save you. His ears hear just fine. The trouble is the wrong things we keep choosing. They have built a wall between us and God, like a cloud that hides the sun.”
The people looked around for someone who could fix it - someone good enough, strong enough to tear that wall down. But nobody could. Not one person.
So God did something amazing. He looked. He saw that no one could rescue them. And He said, “Then I will do it Myself.”
God got ready to come like a brave rescuer - to push the cloud away, knock the wall down, and bring His people back to Him. “A Rescuer will come,” Isaiah promised.
And one day He did. His name is Jesus - the One who came to take the wall away so we could be close to God again.

Talk About It
- Have you ever felt like someone was far away from you, even when they were close by? Isaiah says God is never too far to hear you.
- The people looked for someone strong enough to help, but no one could - so God came Himself. How does it feel to know God didn't wait for us to fix things?
- A rescuer comes when you're stuck. When is a time you needed someone to come help you?
