Have you ever felt left out or forgotten? In this chapter, God gives His people a brand-new name - and it changes everything.
Today's Story
God's people had been feeling lonely. Some people even had sad nicknames for them, like “Left Behind” and “All Alone.” That is no fun at all.
But God said, “I will not stay quiet. I am going to keep speaking up for you until everyone sees how wonderful you are - shining bright like a torch in the night!”
Then God did something special. He gave His people a brand-new name. “You will not be called ‘Left Behind’ anymore,” God said. “Your new name is My Delight. Another new name is Loved. Because that is what you are to Me.”
God said He would hold them close, like a treasure in His hand, like a sparkly crown a king is proud to wear.
And then He painted the happiest picture of all. “Do you know how glad a groom is on his wedding day, smiling at the bride he loves so much? That is how glad I am over you!”
You are not forgotten. You are God's delight, and He sings over you with joy.
