Isaiah 63 for Kids

For Kids · 3 min with a grown-up

Isaiah was a messenger who brought God's words to His people. In this part, the prophet remembers all the kind things God has done.

Today's Story

Isaiah told the people about a strong, mighty God who keeps His promises. God promised to make wrong things right and to save His people. Nothing was too big for Him.

Then Isaiah did something beautiful. He started to remember. He remembered all the kind things God had done for His people, all the way back.

“I will tell about the kind things the Lord has done,” Isaiah said. “I will tell how good He has been to us.”

God had picked these people to be His very own. He loved them. And here is the most tender part: when His people were sad and hurting, God was sad too. He did not send someone else to help them. He came Himself.

“He lifted them up and carried them,” Isaiah said. Like a daddy lifting up a tired child. Long ago, all through their long trip, God carried them.

So Isaiah prayed and asked God to look down from heaven and help His people again. “You are our Father,” he said. God had been so good before. Isaiah knew God would be good again.
