Isaiah 65 for Kids

For Kids · 4 min with a grown-up

Isaiah brought God's words to the people. In this part, God makes one of His most wonderful promises ever - a brand-new world.

Today's Story

God spoke through Isaiah, and His words were full of love. “I held out My hands all day long,” God said. He was always ready to help, always reaching out. But some people had stopped listening and walked their own way, and that made God sad.

Still, God did not give up on His people. He had a promise so big and so happy that it would fix everything.

“Look!” God said. “I am going to make new heavens and a new earth.” A brand-new world, fresh and perfect, with no more sad things in it.

“The sad things from before will be gone,” God said. “There will be no more crying. No more being upset.” Just joy. People would build houses and live in them. They would plant gardens and eat the good food. Everyone would be safe.

And here is the most amazing part. God said that in this new world, even the animals would be friends. “The wolf and the lamb will eat together,” He said. The big, scary animals and the little, gentle ones - side by side, not afraid of each other at all.

“Nothing will hurt anyone,” God promised. It was a picture of a world made completely right. And it is coming, because God always keeps His promises.

A Big Word

  1. What is something that makes you sad or scared sometimes? In God's new world, that will be all gone.
  2. God said the wolf and the lamb will be friends. If every animal got along, which two animals would you most want to see playing together?
  3. God promises no more crying in His new world. How does it feel to know God is going to make everything right one day?
