This chapter is a tiny love note from God — to the quiet helper who worked hard behind the scenes.
Today's Story
All this time, Jeremiah had a helper named Baruch. Baruch had a very important job: he carefully wrote down every message God gave to Jeremiah, word by word, on a scroll. He was a faithful, behind-the-scenes helper.
But Baruch was tired. There had been so many hard days. He sighed and said, “Oh, I feel so worn out and sad. Will my heart ever feel happy again?”
And do you know what? God noticed. God saw quiet, tired Baruch — the helper most people might forget — and God spoke just to him.
“I see how hard this has been for you,” God said gently. “I know you are tired. Don't worry. I will take care of you. I will keep your life safe, wherever you go.”
What a kind thing for God to say! Baruch was not famous. He was not a king. He was just a faithful helper with a tired heart. But God saw him, and loved him, and made him a special promise all his own.

Talk About It
- Baruch was a helper who worked hard behind the scenes. Who is a quiet helper in your life that you could say thank you to today?
- Baruch felt tired and sad, and God saw him. When you feel tired or sad, what helps you remember that God sees you too?
- God made Baruch a special promise just for him. How does it feel to know God knows your name and cares about your heart?
