Job's friends keep talking. In Job 18, a friend named Bildad speaks again. He talks sternly — but the day will come when God Himself answers Job.
Today's Story
Job had a friend named Bildad. Bildad was getting frustrated.
“Job, listen to us!” Bildad said. “When people turn away from God and forget Him, their path gets dark and bumpy. They lose their way.”
Bildad thought he was helping. But really, he was just being hard on poor Job, who had not turned away from God at all.
Still, there is one true thing hiding inside Bildad's stern words: walking WITH God really is the best way to walk. When we stay close to God, it is like having a light on the path so we can see where to put our feet.
Job was still close to God, even on his sad days. And we can stay close too — by talking to God, listening to Him, and trusting He is leading us the right way.
God's way is the bright, safe way. That is the path Job was on, even when his friends could not see it.
