A daughter named Acsah teaches us something wonderful: it's good to ask for blessings!
Today's Story
As the land was divided up, the big tribe of Judah received their portion. And in this part of the story, there's a sweet little moment about Caleb (remember brave Caleb?) and his daughter, whose name was Acsah.
Caleb gave Acsah some land as a gift. But Acsah noticed something: the land was dry, with no water! Without water, the land couldn't grow much. So Acsah did something bold. She went to her father and asked, “Father, you've given me land in the dry south. Please, would you also give me springs of water?”
And what did her loving father do? He didn't say no or get annoyed. He gladly gave her even MORE than she asked — both the upper springs AND the lower springs! Acsah got plenty of water for her land.
Acsah wasn't greedy. She just knew her father was kind and generous, so she asked him for what she needed. Our heavenly Father is like that too! He loves when His children come and ask Him for what they need.
