God gave His people special days all through the year — days to stop, remember Him, and celebrate together.
Today's Story
God loves to celebrate! So He gave His people a whole calendar of special days. He called them “holy days” — happy days set apart just for Him.
Every week there was a rest day, when nobody had to work and everyone could enjoy God and each other.
In the spring there was a big feast to remember how God rescued His people long ago. There was a day to bring God the very first crops from the field and say, “Thank You!” There was a day with trumpets blowing to wake everyone up to worship.
And there was a happy week called the Feast of Tents, when families camped out in little leafy shelters and remembered how God took care of them every single day.
Some days were quiet and still. Some days were loud and full of music. But all of them were God's way of saying, “Stop and remember Me. I am with you. Let's celebrate together!”
