Leviticus 4 for Kids

For Kids · 3 min with a grown-up

Sometimes we do something wrong without even meaning to. God made a gentle way for His people to say sorry and be forgiven.

Today's Story

Sometimes God's people did something wrong without even meaning to. Maybe they broke a rule and didn't notice until later. Their hearts felt heavy and sad about it.

So God made a kind way for them to fix it. He didn't want them carrying that heavy, sad feeling around. He wanted them clean and happy and close to Him again.

God said, “When you find out you did wrong, bring Me a gift, and tell Me you are sorry.” A young child could not do this part alone — a priest helped. He brought the gift to God for the person.

And then God did the most wonderful thing. He forgave them. The Bible says, “They will be forgiven.” The heavy feeling lifted away. They were clean and close to God again.

God didn't want His people stuck in their mistakes. He made a way back. He always wanted them near.

A Big Word

Memory Verse

Talk About It

  1. Have you ever done something wrong by accident, not on purpose? How did your tummy or heart feel afterward?
  2. God made a way to say sorry and feel clean again. Why do you think saying sorry helps the heavy feeling go away?
  3. God loves to forgive. Is there someone YOU could forgive today, the way God forgives you?
