Today is a big day — the day God sets apart His special helpers to serve in His tent.
Today's Story
It was a big, exciting day. Moses called all the people together at the door of God's tent. Something special was about to happen.
God had chosen Aaron and his sons to be His priests — special helpers who would work in His tent and help the people come close to Him. But first, they had to be made ready.
So Moses washed Aaron and his sons with clean water. Then he dressed Aaron in the beautiful priest clothes God had designed — the robe, the colorful sash, and the shining crown that said “Holy to the Lord.” Every part had a meaning. Now Aaron looked ready for his important job.
Moses did everything just the way God said. He told the people, “This is what the Lord has commanded.” Aaron and his sons stayed near the tent for seven whole days, getting ready to serve. God was giving His people helpers to bring them close to Him.
