God has a gentle, beautiful way to show His people who He has chosen — and it grows overnight!
Today's Story
The people were still arguing about who God had chosen to lead. So God thought of a kind and gentle way to show them, with no fuss at all.
God said, “Bring Me a wooden walking stick from the leader of each family. Write each man's name on his stick. Then Aaron, bring yours too. Leave them all in My holy tent overnight, and I will show you who I have chosen.”
So they laid all the sticks down in God's tent and waited. They were just plain, dry pieces of wood — the kind that could never grow anything ever again.
The next morning, Moses went in to look. All the sticks were the same as before… except one. Aaron's stick had come alive! It had little buds, and white blossoms, and even ripe almonds growing right on it!
Everyone could see it with their own eyes. God had chosen Aaron, and God had done it in a soft and lovely way — with flowers and fruit instead of anything scary.
God kept Aaron's blooming stick to remind the people: trust Me, and stop your grumbling. I take good care of My people.
